Random lunch time thoughts

As I sit here eating my cranberry walnut chicken salad sandwich on Oat Nut bread (thanks Hilary!)= and waffle fry potato chips, I felt the need to blog. Why? I don't even know. Some random thoughts.

D gave Andy (the dog) some beer the other day and made him drunk. He kept us up half the night howling and whining. He was rolling around on his pillow and was all lost and confused when I let him out to pee. He also peed on my living room floor which is something he never does.

I saw Wicked the other night. It was great. I am a big Wizard of Oz fan and it was cool to see the back story of the witches.

I also saw Rent a few weeks ago. A friend of mine from High School was playing the part of Benny (Taye Diggs played him in the movie).

I am drinking water out of a mug right now. D thinks that is weird that I like to do that.

I am very proud of one of the young ladies that I counsel. I have seen her grow and change. We went to parent/teacher conferences last night and her grades and behavior have improved a lot. I am excited about cheering for her at her awards assembly when she gets honor roll.

Wedding lessons learned

I'm back and I'm a Mrs! The ceremony was beautiful. The reception was fun. I learned a few things that I will take into my future work as a wedding coordinator (something I have always wanted to to). I have a few things that I wished we would have done differently. I kinda wish we had hired a different wedding coordinator. She did do her job and she pulled the day together but... I don't feel like we were really heard during the whole planning process. So, my advice to anyone who is still in the planning process: 1. If you hire a coordinator, pick someone who respects your budget no matter what it is. 2. Be really detailed with what your vision is for each element of your wedding. Make sure that the person who is in charge of the day has a thorough understanding of that vision. 3. Things will go wrong. Don't sweat it. The morning of the wedding I woke up to a text from my hair and makeup person saying instead of her arriving at 8:00 she would be there at 12:00. I didn...

Where does the time go?

16 days until I make the change from Ms. to Mrs. I feel like I am not yet getting the chance to soak it in. I am still trying to adjust to the new job and keep up with my normal household tasks. I guess I will fully realize it when I put on the dress.

Cookie monster

That is what I feel like right now. The one thing I have no business eating right now is calling my name as I sit in Panera. I just finished my chicken noodle soup and salad and I want a big ole chocolate chip cookie! But if I were to eat one it would mean no more food for the rest of the day due to using up all of my points. Must.....resist.....temptation........
