Dairy free life

My youngest son has had a dairy protein intolerance since birth. We have struggled to find enjoyable and nutritious foods that he can eat instead of dairy. I never realized that sooooo many things had milk products in them until I had to read every label. When he turned one, we couldn't do the whole milk like most toddlers drink. I found Ripple milk and I was amazed at how much protein was in it and how much he enjoyed it. I was also excited to see that Ripple had expanded their product line to include yogurt. The yogurt was a hit with my two year old! I like to mix in fruit with it to add a little extra. #RippleYogurt #MyMagazineSharing #freesample

Another awesome free sample!

I was sent coupons to try Dr. Praegers's newest seafood products. The salmon burgers were a hit with my 2 year old and loved the Southwest hash browns as a quick addition to a weekday breakfast. What I liked the most about these products is that is something different. I know I tend to get in a rut with what products I buy and keep on hand for convenience meals. I will be adding these into the rotation for the future. DrPSeafood #FreeSample #MyMagazineSharing

Back at it again...

Hi. It's been so long. I almost forgot I had this blog. Today, I have a quick post to share a review on a mission I had with MyMagazine. I tried out several frozen items and was encouraged to get creative with how I worked them into my meals. Overall, all the items tried were tasty. My family had the Farm Rich Mozzarella sticks as a fun side with dinner. The Devour bacon mac and cheese was also a side another night. it is very rich but went well as a small portion on the side of a healthier meal. Today, I am having the Smart Made pepper steak meal on a flat out wrap. Quick and easy lunch. We enjoyed trying out all these new items and will repurchase from these brands in the future. #FreshIdeasFromTheFreezer, #MyMagazineSharing, #OneUpped, #FreeSample

Random updates

So, yeah... my plan to post more often didn't happen. At least I am getting in another post before the end of 2014. So that's progress. I really don't have much to write about. I think I shall list out my current favorite things: 1. Watching makeup tutorials and favorite things posts on Youtube. I watch at least 4 a week. I like to get the tips of techniques and new products to try. 2. Speaking of makeup, I love my Real Techniques Powder brush 3. My Ipsy subscription. I have at least two things I like in each bag so for $10 a month it's not a bad deal. This month I got some awesome Tarte mascara and NYX Butter balm in the shade Red Velvet. 4. Talenti gelato. 5. My Zinio app on my iPad. I can check out magazines for free from the library and read them using the app. Ok, end of random post. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Adventures at Chick-fil-a

This evening the hubs had a dinner out with friends. I decided to make things easiest (ha!) on me, I would take our little 2.5 year old, DB, to Chick-fil-a for dinner and some playtime in the kids area. I should've known better after I picked him up from daycare and was informed he had just hit a little girl. I made him apologize and talked to him about not hitting other people (especially girls) and decided to carry on with the evening's plans. Fast forward to dinner. He has his kids meal and I have my salad. We settle in to our both and begin to eat. He eats two nuggets and half of his fruit cup and then it's off to the play area. That is fine with me because I am sitting right by the play area and I can eat my salad while keeping an eye on him. He plays happily until I notice him clustered up with two other little boys. I peeked my head in and he reported that a little boy who looked to be around his age had hit him. I told him to play with other children and not to hi...

Hey there!

*Peeks in* Hello. I haven't written here in a very long time but I think it's time I pick back up with this thing. I really want to spruce things up around here, so I'm gonna be changing up the design and cleaning it up over the next couple of months. So, what have I been up to... My little one is 2.5 years old and keeping me and the hubs very busy. We have moved into a bigger house and have been there for 2 years. I went back to graduate school and began to work on a Masters in Human Resource Management. The hubs and I celebrate 5 years of marriage this week. That's about if for now. I just wanted to get the update out the way. I hope to post a lot more frequently!

Free stuff!

Really, I have gotten several free things from belonging to the site Influenster I used to think that things like this were a scam, but since I have been a member of this community, I have received a Vox Box filled with beauty goodies, a Quaker Oats prize pack and tested out the newest Palmolive dish soaps. All it takes is the dedication to take some surveys and spread your opinion on social networking sites. I encourage anyone who likes free stuff to check into it. They have newly relaunched with a redesigned website and even more opportunities to try new items and voice your opinion.
